Is a nice place to eat.
I personally just didn't like the food that much.
Everything had its own taste but it didn't work together.
The taste of the chicken, fries and salad didn't compliment each other.
However the service was really good.
I took a meal they actually don't serve before 5 pm but they still did after I requested.
The guy serving was really friendly and even came to ask if everything was to my liking.
The atmosphere was dark and claustrophobic because everything was so close and tightly put together.
I will definitely give it another try some other time ☺️.
Food was extremely greasy (I am used to Turkish food, this was something else), see the photo yourself. After 2 hours I still have stomach ache. Firstly I ordered "Mercimek soup", it was cold and tasted like they used ketchup (?!) as ingredient. After that I asked for "Icli kofte". It looked like a "Icli kofte" but certainly it isn't. If you serve this "Icli kofte" at its city of origin, I am sure they will make "Icli kofte" out of you. Then came the bomb, "kusbasili pide". Grease was dripping from the bread and it looked like (also tasted like) dipped into probably days old oil/fat/grease. I prefer starving to go there one more time.
The atmosphere is good service was fast. There were some nice starters like butter and bread. However, foods were not very delicious, souce was very spicy and meat was hard. Prices were also expensive. Overall, we did not satisfied. Not recommended.
i liked the food very much but about worker they was rude , I couldn't choose where to sit, I had to sit in the doorway when everywhere was empty , bcs they wanted like that :) and ı was so cold , I hope the staff can provide better service , thx for amazing food 👍🏻 …
I travel extensively and I eat all sort of food, Turkish cuisine being one of my favorites. I picked up this restaurant because google advertised it as the "best Turkish restaurant in the Netherlands". I guess I was too excited that I forgot that the the average dutch people are not known to have an exigent palais, hence the reference to the "best in the country" wasn't ethically appropriate not reassuring. I ordered an Iskender, that turned out to be a bland dish of cheap reconstituted kebab meat, laying on soggy white dutch bread (no pita bread nor grilled bread cubes), and the yogurt, served aside, contained zero garlic. The famous green charred pepper, served with almost all Turkish dishes, was an dull sweet pepper instead of the Classic chili pepper.
I left the place with a certain disappointment, but it's surely my fault and my Mediterranean DNA who can't appreciate the effort of business owners to downgrade a rich, flavorful, traditional cuisine to the dutch taste.
tasty food, big portions. the lunch menu is very limited comparing to the dinner menu
This plaxe used to have much better food for modest prices. Now it serves very bad Turkish food. Even the simplest dishes are made very poorly with insufficient ingredients. Also very expensive. Bread and cheese from the next door Albert Heijn would be a more satisfying meal than what you would get here.
Nice restaurant with friendly staff. Had a simple but nice lunch
